This mixed set comes as a follow-up to the 80’s Dance Mix: Green Parrot Revisited mixed by DJ Filipe. The production of 80’s Funk+Soul+Disco Mix was originally completed in 2009, but it never got to be released until now after remastering work was done to it.
As the name suggests, 80’s Funk+Soul+Disco Mix (2009) is about black music. It brings you back to the roots on how funk and soul evolved in different styles. Also, the choice of songs in this set really demonstrates the type of music Filipe was exposed to and playing as a young DJ.
